Zenthai Shiatsu

Bodywork for nervous system balance, physical ease, and sustainable capacity. Not a one-off treatment — a practice of returning to yourself.
Most people who come here have already tried massage. What they haven't tried is work that addresses the pattern — not just the symptom.
"Most suffering is not from lack of information or capability. It is from disconnection — from the body, from rhythm, from the deeper intelligence that regulates a good life. This work is an invitation back into contact."

Pablo Guzman · Embodied Wellbeing

what is zenthai shiatsu

A dynamic form of bodywork. Not a treatment — a practice.

Zenthai Shiatsu blends Zen Shiatsu, Thai massage, and osteopathic principles to support nervous system balance, structural ease, and vitality. Sessions take place on a mat, fully clothed.
Unlike treatments that focus only on symptoms, Zenthai works with patterns — using slow pressure, assisted stretching, and rhythmic movement to guide the body into deeper states of calm and organisation.
The result is not just relaxation. It is a body that feels grounded, responsive, and capable of meeting life.

01

Zen Shiatsu

Sustained pressure along the body's meridian lines. Supports nervous system regulation, energetic balance, and the release of deeply held tension patterns. Slow, intentional, deeply attentive.

02

Thai Massage

Assisted stretching, passive joint mobilisation, and rhythmic movement that frees muscular tension and energetic blockages across the entire body.

03

Osteopathic Principles

Joint mobilisation, connective tissue work, and fascial unwinding addressing physical patterns of holding. Particularly effective for structural and musculoskeletal concerns.

New to Zenthai Shiatsu? We've written a complete educational guide to its origins, philosophy, and how it differs from conventional bodywork — if you want to understand the practice better.

who this is for

Functional on the outside.
Feeling the cost in private.

This work is most effective for people who are performing well — and who know, in their body, that something is being sustained rather than resolved.

Founders and professionals managing high output, constant decision-making, and the weight of sustained responsibility — who have normalised operating at the edge of their capacity.

Athletes and active people seeking recovery and resilience beyond what training alone provides.

People carrying chronic tension or fatigue — who have tried things before and still come back to the same underlying state.

Anyone navigating life transitions, increased demand, or a period where the body needs more deliberate care.

Anyone ready to build a consistent relationship with their body — not as maintenance, but as foundation.

"This work is not about becoming better. It is about becoming more real."

My path to this work came through a structural engineering background — where systems thinking, precision, and pattern recognition are everything. That lens shapes how I work with the body: not as a collection of symptoms, but as an integrated system with its own intelligence.
I trained in Zenthai Shiatsu with Gwyn Williams and have spent years working at the intersection of bodywork, nervous system regulation, and the philosophy of living well. My clients are often high-functioning people who are surprised by how much they were holding — and how much is possible when the body is actually met where it is.

where sessions take place

Ground Studio

Sessions take place at Ground Studio — a quiet, intentionally designed space created to support presence, regulation, and ease.

Simple, warm, and uncluttered. Natural light, minimal sensory input, and a calm atmosphere create the conditions for deeper rest and integration. This is not a treatment room designed for urgency. It is a space where time slows slightly.

The environment is an essential part of the work — not a backdrop to it.

what to expect

The session unfolds

"You don't need to do anything. The invitation is simply to stay present and allow your body to respond."

01

Arrive and check in

Each session begins with a brief conversation — how you're feeling, what your body needs that day. No prior experience necessary.

02

The session unfolds

Sustained pressure, assisted movement, stretching, and moments of stillness — guided by your body's capacity and pace. The work is adaptive, not prescriptive. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

03

Integration

Most people leave feeling more grounded, clear, and physically at ease. Effects continue to unfold over the 24–48 hours that follow. The body takes time to integrate what it receives.

04

Building a practice

Two to three sessions in the first month, then monthly. For sustained high output, consistency is everything. The real shift happens over time, not in a single session.

what clients say

The shift people feel

★★★★★

"Over the years, I’ve come to Pablo in varying states — sometimes bursting with energy, other times exhausted and nearing burnout. With his strong yet intuitive presence, Pablo meets me exactly where I need to be met, and guides me back to a state of grounded clarity and deep rejuvenation.  His support has been instrumental in my professional, interpersonal, and emotional pursuits."

★★★★★

"This isn't a massage. It's something different — slower, more intentional, and oddly more effective. I run my own business and carry a lot in my body without realising it. After each session, my head is clearer, my body feels like it belongs to me again, and I sleep like I haven't in years. If you're high-output and running on empty, this is probably exactly what you need.

Common questions

Everything you need to know before booking.

1. What should I wear for a Zenthai Shiatsu Session?

Loose, comfortable clothing that allows full movement — think training gear or relaxed pants and a t-shirt. Sessions are fully clothed on a mat, so you'll be stretched, moved, and worked through fabric. Restrictive or structured clothing will limit the work. Arrive as if you're about to move.

2. How is Zenthai Shiatsu different from a regular massage?

A regular massage works on the surface — muscle relaxation, temporary relief. Zenthai works on the pattern beneath it. Sustained pressure along the body's meridian lines, assisted stretching, joint mobilisation, and fascial release all happen within a single session. It addresses why the tension keeps coming back, not just the tension itself. The result is more lasting, more grounded, and significantly more complete than a table massage.

3. Is Zenthai Shiatsu suitable if I'm in pain or have injuries?

Yes — and often it's where Zenthai is most effective. Chronic pain, restricted movement, and post-injury holding patterns are exactly what this work is designed to reach. The approach is adaptive, not prescriptive. Every session responds to what your body is presenting that day. If you have specific concerns, share them before we start — the work adjusts accordingly.

4. What will I feel during and after the session?

During the session, most people move between deep stillness and a felt sense of release — the body unwinding layers it's been holding for a long time. Afterwards, expect to feel noticeably calmer, physically lighter, and more present. Some people feel energised; others feel ready to sleep deeply. Both are the body integrating. Effects often continue unfolding over the following 24–48 hours — which is why the session doesn't end when you leave the room.

5. How many sessions will I need?

A single session will give you a clear sense of what your body is holding and what's possible. Many people feel a notable shift in the first one or two sessions.

For chronic tension, nervous system patterns, or the accumulated weight of sustained high output, meaningful change happens over time — not in one visit. In that case, a rhythm of two to three sessions in the first month, followed by monthly maintenance, tends to produce the most lasting results.

If life is already demanding a lot of you, one session per month is the minimum worth investing in. Think of it the way you'd think of training — consistency compounds.

6. Do I need experience with bodywork to book?

None at all. No prior experience, no intake consultation required. You simply arrive. The session adapts to wherever your body is that day — regardless of what you've done or haven't done before.

7. How do I choose the right session?

First time or clear reset → The Reset (60 min). Ongoing stress, physical patterns, or high workload → The Alignment (90 min). Something deeper → The Return (120 min). When in doubt, The Alignment is where most people find the most value.
