Soul Space Brisbane, Newmarket

The invitation

Most people meet bodywork as something done to them. This day is different. It is a chance to understand the practice from the inside — to feel what Zenthai Shiatsu is, and why it works, rather than only hearing about it.
Zenthai Shiatsu draws three lineages into one fluid, movement-based practice: Zen Shiatsu, Thai massage, and osteopathic principles. Where many therapies treat the body as a machine to be fixed, this work meets it as something alive and intelligent — a place where tension, emotion and history are held, and where they can also be released.
Across the day you move slowly through the foundations: the principles, the philosophy, and the felt experience of giving and receiving. A complete taste, enough to understand the work, and enough to feel it move through you.

My path to this work came through a structural engineering background — where systems thinking, precision, and pattern recognition are everything. That lens shapes how I work with the body: not as a collection of symptoms, but as an integrated system with its own intelligence.
I trained in Zenthai Shiatsu with Gwyn Williams and have spent years working at the intersection of bodywork, nervous system regulation, and the philosophy of living well. My clients are often high-functioning people who are surprised by how much they were holding — and how much is possible when the body is actually met where it is.

Common questions

Before joining any workshop with Pablo.

I've never done anything like this. Is it for me?

Yes. Most workshops are built for all levels, and most people who come have no bodywork background at all. You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or "good at" anything. You bring yourself; the rest is guided, step by step.

What can I expect on the day?

A mix of movement, breath, philosophy and hands-on practice, held at an unhurried pace. Each workshop has its own focus, but the shape is consistent: time to slow down, learn something you can feel in your own body, and leave more grounded than you arrived. The specifics for each event are on its own page.

Is the work hands-on? Will I practise with other people?

Usually, yes. Most workshops involve guided partner work, so you'll give and receive in pairs. Everything is consent-led and clearly demonstrated, and you can adjust pressure, pace, or sit a round out at any time. You're never asked to do anything you're not comfortable with.

Can I bring my partner or a friend?

Yes, and many people do — the work often lands more deeply when you share it with someone you know. Just book a place for each of you, as spaces are limited.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable clothing you can move and lie down in, and a notepad. Some venues provide mats; where you need to bring your own, it's noted on the event page. Otherwise, just bring yourself.

How do I book, and what if I need to cancel?

Booking is handled on each workshop's page — some through this site, some through a partner venue. Cancellation terms are listed there too, as they vary by event. If something comes up, reach out and we'll do our best to transfer your place to a future date.

The body is the entry point. Everything else follows from there.
